Sad and hard time for the poor next winter...
NZ Labour voters stayed home - worst result for Labour in decades. Many votes also went to minor parties. The Greens hit the 10% mark for the first time. Many young and up and coming Labour politicians failed to get back on the list. This is the scenario under MMP. The ruling right wing National Party claims a mandate to sell off energy assets and reform welfare and employment law. Its going to be a sad and tough time for the poor in New Zealand next winter.
