Alzeimers disease is a debilitating and fatal disease...

Alzheimers disease is reportedly a brain disease named after Alois Alzheimer who first described the condition in 1906.
Alzheimers has been described as a progressive, debilitating and fatal brain disease that destroys the brain cells, causing problems and loss of memory, thought and severe behavioural problems that affect work, relationships, lifelong hobbies, activities and social life. It worsens over time and has no cure at present, although there are some drugs being tested which show some potential.
It has been described as the most common form of dementia, a general term for loss of memory and other intellectual abilities serious enough to interfere with daily life.
While there is no cure as described above, symptoms can be treated along with social and health support services in the earlier stages of the disease. In the latter stages most sufferers end their days in nursing homes.
