I have just been diagnosed as having skin cancer on my face...


I have just been diagnosed as having basal cell skin cancer on my face, a lesser form on my forehead and possible skin cancer on my upper arm.

I'm not overwhelmed by the diagnosis, but happy I have had the cancers diagnosed early. Treatment on my forehead commences when I purchase some cream today, while further biopsy on my face will be used to determine the actual range of the cancer. This will have to be treated through minor surgery.

Being a New Zealander of Scandinavian and Celtic origin - a fairskinned Kiwi, I, other New Zealanders and Australians are particularly at risk from cancer because of ozone depletion and the sun's UV rays.
