Thanks to Jon and Charles, I'm the new writer in the "Writer's Lounge". Its such a new venture that I have not yet been able to read and research what was written previously.
Most of my posts could be described as being global, newsy, entertaining and informative. I have a number of blogsites which could be described in the same way, and some definately New Zealand orientated; so we shall see what we shall see!
So please come and visit some time, as well as Huttriver9, my other Orble blogsite.
Being a New Zealander our news for the week is about the Rugby World Cup, in which the New Zealand "All Blacks", the favourites, were knocked out along with our cuzzies, the Australian Wallabies, last weekend. As well, today is local body election day: the day we elect our councils and boards. We have had postal voting for a number of years and the votes have been trickling in for a fortnight. It is a deep concern here about the public apathy towards local authority voting. Voting is not compulsory in New Zealand, only being enrolled.
Australia appears to be not far from their federal elections. John Howard is believed to be close to setting the election date for an election which could see a change of government, if the pundits can believed. Its all very interesting!. Will be back later!
