Swiss man discovered he was part of cannibal's menu...

A cannibal has been arrested in Slovakia after his dinner guest found out he was on the menu and called police.

The 43-year-old suspected man-eater had posted an advertisement online seeking someone who wanted to be killed, cooked and eaten, the Daily Mail reports.

The would-be-victim, from Switzerland, answered the ad, thinking it was just a "macabre fantasy game".

But when he spoke to the 43-year-old on the phone he realised he was "deadly serious".

He called Swiss police who alerted the Slovakian authorities.

"It appears this man was genuinely seeking to eat some," a police spokesman said.

"His advert said he wanted someone who would agree to be put to sleep then killed, cut up, cooked and eaten."

Detectives posed as the victim to catch the man in the northeastern village of Kysak.

A gunfight broke out during the arrest, and both the suspected cannibal and a police man were shot.

Both are being treated in hospital.
